We open with a great offer!

There is learning in the exhibition Guldkorn.

The exhibition Guldkorn investigates, explores and learns.

Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor House Museum and The Green Museum will open for the winter holidays, and everyone who buys a ticket in February will automatically receive an annual pass to the two museums.

An annual pass included in the purchase for all visitors for a whole month. This is the great offer when Gammel Estrup and Det Grønne Museum open for the season on February 11, 2023. The museums hope that this will mean more guests throughout the year. And that not least the locals in Norddjurs and the surrounding municipalities will take advantage of the opportunity to visit the museums and enjoy the many things that can be experienced year-round.

In 2023, the museums have a number of exciting exhibitions and activities on their program.

At the Green Museum you can, among other things, create your very own barley variety and see plant DNA in the exhibition Guldkorn, or enjoy the indoor forest in the exhibition STORT. During the holidays there is a cornucopia of activities for everyone, and the year ends with a bang at the traditional Christmas market.

At Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum, you can try out a new large playground from June 17th. During all school holidays and up to Christmas, there are special activities for children, and you can buy homemade cakes and coffee from Madam Blå from the housemaid in the Manor kitchen.

Lots to experience all year round

The annual pass is valid for both museums and normally costs 250 DKK. Throughout the month of February, you automatically receive an annual pass when you buy a regular admission ticket for 140 DKK. Children under 18 always have free admission to the two museums.

"At the Green Museum we offer a wealth of exhibitions, experiences and perspectives. In fact, our indoor and outdoor exhibition areas cover 6,000 m2 and 60,000 m2 respectively, which is equivalent to approximately 10 football fields – far more than you can explore in one day. With the free upgrade of the entrance ticket to an annual pass, we hope that more people will have the opportunity to return and experience the museum's many offers throughout the year.", says Anne Bjerrekær, director of The Green Museum.

"Here at Gammel Estrup we are really happy to be able to offer a free annual pass upgrade in February, because that way everyone in our local area – even those who might not normally choose to go to a museum – gets an opportunity to visit very cheaply all year round. I hope that many people will take up the offer so that they can experience the manor and its history, the surroundings and the many activities we offer", says museum director at Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum, Kasper Steenfeldt Tipsmark.

The museums seen from the air

Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum and The Green Museum are in a gift-giving mood. Throughout the month of February, all paying guests will receive a free annual pass.
