The Green Museum and Gammel Estrup offer annual passes to guests

When The Green Museum and Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum open on Saturday, February 10, it will be with a really good offer. Everyone who buys an adult ticket in February will automatically receive an annual pass to the two museums.

Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor House Museum and The Green Museum are in a gift-giving mood. Throughout the month of February, all paying guests will receive a free annual pass to the museums.

Gammel Estrup and Det Grønne Museum hope that the free annual passes will mean that more people – not least the locals in Norddjurs and the surrounding municipalities – will visit the museums and enjoy the many things that can be experienced all year round. In 2024, the museums have a number of exciting exhibitions and activities on their program.

Two museums for the price of one museum

At the Green Museum you can, among other things, create your very own barley variety and analyze grain samples in the exhibition Guldkorn, or enjoy the indoor forest in the exhibition STORT. During the holidays there is a cornucopia of activities for everyone, and the year ends with a bang at the traditional Christmas market.

"At the Green Museum we offer a wealth of exhibitions and experiences. In fact, the museum contains more than 6000 m2 of exhibitions - and on top of that, there is our huge outdoor area with a blacksmith, apiary, playground, fruit trees, fields, gardens and - not least - our old livestock breeds. There is plenty of content for many days, and we hope that with the free upgrade of the entrance ticket to an annual pass, more people will have the opportunity to return and experience the museum's many offers throughout the year.", says Anne Bjerrekær, director of The Green Museum.

At Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum, there are special activities for children during all school holidays and up to Christmas, and you can buy homemade cakes and coffee from Madam Blå from the housemaid in the Manor Kitchen. In summer, you can experience a special exhibition about the manor garden as well as the large-scale 18th century festival, and autumn offers both apple cider and All Saints' Eve.

"I hope that many people – not least from the local area – will take up our offer of a free annual pass upgrade in February. I personally think that it is a great pleasure to experience the change of seasons here at Gammel Estrup, and I hope that the free annual passes can encourage many others to also explore and use Gammel Estrup all year round and participate in the many activities we offer.", says museum director at Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum, Kasper Steenfeldt Tipsmark.

The annual pass is valid for both museums and normally costs DKK 250. Throughout February, you will automatically receive a free upgrade to an annual pass when you purchase a regular entrance ticket for DKK 140. Children under 18 always have free admission to the two museums. The offer requires personal attendance at the ticket office (ticket office closes 30 minutes before closing time).
