Experience the Green Museum at the Agricultural Fair 2024!

Mini straw bales are made.
The Green Museum is pleased to be part of the Agricultural Fair again this year on May 25-26, 2024 at the museum's beautiful grounds on Djursland.
This year we have a wealth of exciting activities and tasting experiences that will delight the whole family. There is a range for shooting with a bow and arrow. There is a leaflet with both the recipe for our potato cake and activities for the children. There is also an area with benches and tables and cozy activities and finally our committed volunteers from ten guilds are ready to give you a unique and educational experience. All the things can be experienced and tried between 10 am and 4 pm both days.
Archery
We have built an 'indoor' archery range where you can try shooting with a bow and arrow under expert guidance. Here you get 3 shots for only 20 kroner.
'Hang out' area
In the middle of our 1400m2 area, our hangout area is ready to welcome you. With benches and lots of fun activities like stilts, tic-tac-toe, horseshoe toss and tug-of-war, it's the perfect place for the family to just hang out together.
Meet our guild
At the Agricultural Fair you can meet our dedicated volunteers from the Beekeepers' Guild, the Brewers' Guild, the Food Guild, the Dairymen's Guild, the Butchers' Guild, the Tractor Workshop, the Blacksmiths' Guild, the Boys' and Girls' Guild, the Visitors' Guild and the Archers' Guild. They will present their crafts and share their knowledge and passion with you. So please reach out to our volunteers and have a nice chat with them.

The Dairymen's Guild's tastings are always popular.
Tastings
Come and taste delicacies made according to historical recipes:
The Beekeepers' Guild: Try our fresh honey.
The Food Guild: Taste our famous potato cakes, made from a recipe from 1916.
Butchers' Guild: Enjoy a medister sausage made according to our own recipe.
The Dairymen's Guild: Taste homemade cheese, butter and buttermilk.
Brewers Guild: Try beer brewed according to recipes from the 19th century.
Fun and educational activities with the volunteers
There are plenty of activities for both children and adults:
The Bow Guild: Watch as our archery guild sits at the cutting bench and makes longbows.
The Boys and Girls' Club: There is a lot going on at Karle- og Pigelauget. Experience the threshing mill in operation and see how grain was handled in the past. You can also see how rope is made. And finally, it is also here that you can try making a mini straw bale yourself.
The blacksmith's guild: See the blacksmiths in action and learn about the history of blacksmithing.
The tractor workshop: See our tractors and have a chat with our tour hosts.
Also remember the folder
Before you leave the agricultural fair, take our leaflet with the recipe for our potato cake and fun task for the children.
