ELRO Day: Hunting riding and free admission

On Saturday, September 5, there is free admission with lots of activities at the Green Museum and the neighboring museum Gammel Estrup.

As part of the museum's apple month, there is also a focus on apples for this year's ELRO Day, which this year coincides with Living Saturday.

Several of the museum's volunteer guilds show how the apple has left its mark on Danish food culture, crafts and everyday life throughout time. Guests can, among other things, help to mash apples, bake apple slices, taste apple bacon and home-brewed beer and hear stories about apples in Danish folklore. At the same time, the museum's volunteers demonstrate old crafts and traditional working methods. On the day, all 13 guilds are in action and ready to welcome guests, but not all of them focus on the apple.

See the many activities at the Green Museum this Living Saturday.

In addition, on this particular day there is the opportunity to experience hunting riding in the area. Come and see the beautiful horses and meet the riders.

Gammel Estrup also has a lot of great and exciting activities during the day. For example, you can experience a knight's course for children.

The ELRO Day at the Green Museum and Gammel Estrup is made possible by the ELRO Foundation
