We're marking the season opening with a free annual pass upgrade

Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor House Museum and The Green Museum are in a gift-giving mood. Throughout the month of February, anyone who buys an adult ticket will receive a free upgrade to an annual pass to the museums.
When Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor House Museum and The Green Museum open on Saturday, February 8, it will be with a really good offer. Everyone who buys a regular adult ticket to the two museums in February will automatically receive an annual pass to both museums.
It is unique that two large state-recognized special museums are located right next to each other in a municipality like Norddjurs. The two museums hope that the free upgrade to an annual pass will encourage locals to stop by in February and use the museums frequently all year round.
Two museums for the price of one museum
Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum and the Green Museum are located right next to each other on a large, scenic area, and the museums offer a number of permanent exhibitions about agriculture, forestry, hunting and food as well as unique historical interiors and gardens for both nobility and servants.
In 2025, the Gammel Estrup Denmark Manor House Museum will open a new exhibition in the manor's attic, which has been restored in recent years. The exhibition, entitled "The Invisible World of the Servants", will show how the attics were used for storage and drying purposes, and as a leisure space for both children and employees at the manor. The museum also offers children's activities during all school holidays, lectures and concerts, as well as large events such as the 18th century festival, All Saints' Eve and Christmas for the manor and servants.
At the Green Museum, the museum's largest exhibition ever opens this summer! Here, guests can experience the history of hunting, forestry, agriculture and food from 1950 to the present day – an interactive story about how our choices have shaped nature and society. All year round, the museum offers family activities during the holidays, an atmospheric Christmas market and exciting events where volunteers bring the past to life with working workshops, roaring tractors and the smell of historic meals.
Throughout the month of February, you will automatically receive a free upgrade to an annual pass for both museums when you purchase a regular adult ticket for both museums for a total price of DKK 160. Children under 18 always have free admission. The offer requires personal attendance at the ticket office. An annual pass normally costs DKK 280.
