Tractor plowing and historical experiences

A nice old red tractor from a previous rally

One of the beautiful old tractors that participated in last year's event – also at the Green Museum

On Saturday, September 21, The Green Museum, in collaboration with the Motor and Tractor Club of Jutland (MTKJ), welcomes you to a day filled with tractor plowing, horses and historical activities.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the fields around Polakhuset will be buzzing with activity, where both machines, people and animals will show off their skills.

Tractor plowing and horse plowing

The highlight of the day is undoubtedly MTKJ's club championships in tractor plowing. Here, tractors will compete in several classes, while Østjysk Køreselskab will also demonstrate horse plowing. It is a unique opportunity to experience both modern and traditional plowing methods in beautiful harmony.

Activities for the whole family

The museum's volunteers are ready with a number of exciting activities. The Karle- og Pigelauget work on the historic fields with the large threshing machine and you can try threshing with a flail yourself. As always, they sell pancakes and coffee.

Inside Polakhuset you can taste Richs' replacement coffee while having a nice chat.

At the same time, you can experience the museum's brewers' guild, who work with hops and tell about the historical brewing of beer, and the blacksmiths who work over an open fire.

Historic apple trees and blacksmithing

The museum's gardening team offers the sale of special Danish apple tree varieties, and there will be an opportunity to taste selected apples so you can find the perfect tree for your garden.

News: The Old Stable will have refreshments
New this year, there will be the opportunity to purchase refreshments from our restaurant Den Gamle Stald, which sells them from a stall near the fields. This is the perfect snack for a day full of experiences.

Tickets

You can choose to buy a ticket for both museums and this event together (140,-) or just for the Motor and Tractor Club of Jutland championships and the activities in the fields (50,-). Please note that this is a special event, and therefore season tickets do not give access to this, but only to the museum's regular exhibitions and offers.
