Lola Wøhlk Hansen and the museum's other communicators have slowly begun preparing this year's Christmas exhibition, 'Christmas of All Time', which will be ready on November 20.

The Green Museum invites you to 'Christmas of all times', where visitors can experience the history of Christmas through the centuries and participate in Christmas activities. Learn about the history of the Christmas tree, or why you are not allowed to enter the stable on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is approaching, and the Green Museum invites you again this year to a special experience in the form of the Christmas exhibition. Christmas of all times. From November 20 to December 29, visitors can enter an atmospheric exhibition and experience the development of Christmas over 300 years.

Christmas traditions through generations
IN Christmas of all times we explore how Christmas traditions have developed from the 18th century to the present day. The museum's exhibition offers a journey through time through constructed tableaus, where visitors can delve into history and see the typical Christmas living rooms of the time, where the decorations, the Christmas tree decorations and the Christmas food traditions unfold. From the first, simple Christmas trees adorned with apples and handmade hearts to modern, colorful, magnificent trees, the exhibition shows how Christmas is an important part of Danish culture.

Visit the animals and experience the winter garden
A visit to the exhibition also offers experiences outside – here guests can meet the museum's animals in the stable and hear the old stories about their role in Christmas throughout time. In the conservatory, the cabbage stands ready with its healthy winter vitamins as a reminder of how nature's resources have always been an important part of Christmas traditions, even in the dark times.

Christmas spices and Advent activities
During the last three Advent weekends, you can experience the scent of Christmas spices at the museum. In the gingerbread workshop, children and adults can decorate their own honey heart for 15 kroner and take it home in a traditional vendor's house - a cozy experience that can get anyone in the Christmas spirit.

Experiences for the whole family
Throughout December, the museum will be filled with exciting activities and storytelling that bring the magic of Christmas to life. On Sunday, December 15, visitors can join a Christmas tour with “Christmas Storyteller,” historian and museum curator Lola Wøhlk Hansen, and hear about old Danish Christmas traditions and myths, such as why you shouldn’t go to the stable on Christmas Eve and what the role of elves was in the Christmas story.

Christmas at the Green Museum is a tribute to traditions, to nature and to the unity between generations. Bring the family to Christmas of all times and learn more about the history of Christmas.

The Green Museum's 'Rudolf' is ready for Christmas.
