Visit an atmospheric late summer market on Djursland with over 50 stalls and activities for the whole family. The Green Museum invites you to a day of experiences, quality goods and a historical atmosphere on August 23rd.
For the first time, The Green Museum invites you to a late summer market – a new tradition inspired by the historical markets that throughout the 18th and 19th centuries brought people together for shopping, experiences and fellowship. More than 50 stalls and activities have already been secured – and we are continuously working to make the day even bigger.
Explore stalls and activities
The market square is bustling with life. Here you will find a multitude of stalls with high-quality locally produced goods, where you can taste late summer produce, find unique products and meet the producers behind them.
Along with the stalls, there are also activities for the whole family. The little ones can take a ride on the tractor track, while others can try their hand at hitting cans, throwing balls or fishing for prizes. There is also the opportunity to shoot with a bow and arrow, try rope braiding or make your own little straw bale.
Some of the activities take place for a small fee – just like at the historic markets.
During the day, you can experience several dog shows on the agility course and retrieving with hunting dogs, where the cooperation between dog and handler is demonstrated in practice.

The late summer market harks back to a time when market day was the gathering point of the year. Here people met, shopped, exchanged stories and experienced something together.
We recreate that atmosphere at The Green Museum – with life in the square, scents from the stalls and activities for both children and adults.

During the day you can meet the museum's volunteers, who sell goods, demonstrate crafts and share stories about old traditions, crafts and everyday life. Around the square, history comes alive through activities and meetings with people who are passionate about their interests.
When you visit the late summer market, you naturally also have access to the museum's exhibitions, where you can explore the stories of Denmark's green cultural heritage - both indoors and outdoors.
The late summer market is a day where people come together across generations. Where children play, adults explore – and everyone gets an experience that is both sensory, educational and present.
