In our special Christmas exhibition, you will move both indoors and outdoors, where you can experience how Christmas has been celebrated through the centuries. From the humble traditions of the 18th century to the modern Christmas celebration as we know it today, you will learn about the cultural and religious significance of Christmas.
importance.

The Christmas exhibition also offers exciting stories about the animals that have played an important role in Christmas traditions over time. And when you enter the
the winter garden, you can see how winter vegetables – especially cabbage – ensured the necessary
vitamins during the cold months.

NOTE: The program below is for 2025 – this year's program will be published as soon as it is complete.

Advent weekends with Christmas exhibition and Christmas baking

During the last three Advent weekends, the museum is filled with the scent of Christmas. Follow the scent of cinnamon and cloves to our cozy gingerbread workshop, where both children and adults can decorate their own freshly baked honey hearts. For only 15 kr. you can unleash your creativity and take your honey heart home in a beautiful, old-fashioned shophouse.
