Bettina Buhl from The Green Museum makes her debut as a TV host in “Badehotellets Kokkeskole” (The Bathhouse Cooking School).
The Green Museum is proud to announce that our own food historian, Bettina Buhl, can now add a new exciting role to her CV.
Because soon Bettina will debut as a TV host in TV2's new cooking program, “Badehotellets Kokkeskole.” In the program, she will host and mentor the well-known actors from the popular series “Badehotellet,” who will now have to prove their skills in the kitchen.
Bettina Buhl, known for her in-depth knowledge of historical cuisine, has previously contributed to the series by ensuring that the culinary scenes were historically accurate. Her expertise has been essential in shaping the authentic dishes that viewers have enjoyed throughout the series. Now she is taking it a step further by stepping in front of the camera as host herself.
“It’s an incredibly exciting new challenge to be a TV host. I’m looking forward to seeing how the actors from ‘Badehotellet’ handle the culinary challenges they face. It’s fantastic to meet them again, this time in a completely different light,” says Bettina Buhl. She continues: “It was also an added bonus to reunite with them in a kitchen, a bit like the first time I met them. Namely at the Green Museum, where they got a crash course in cooking old dishes in our historic kitchens in preparation for the program.”
In “Badehotellets Kokkeskole”, the actors will take the step from being in front of the camera to standing behind the pots, where they will be challenged to prepare authentic dishes from the period, including rabbit stew and water cakes. The program promises both entertainment and informative insight into historical cooking, with Bettina Buhl and experienced TV chef Claus Holm looking over the shoulders of the famous actors as they prepare the dishes.
This new role for Bettina not only underlines her professional skills, but also The Green Museum's commitment to promoting the understanding of cultural history through food. Her ability to convey historical knowledge about food culture in an exciting and lively way is now well-known, both in her work at the museum and on national TV.
So if you would like to experience Bettina, Claus Holm and the actors from Badehotellet, watch on TV 2 Fri on April 29 at 8:40 PM or stream the program on TV 2 PLAY.
