The Forest History Society held a seminar in June 2003 to mark the society's 50th anniversary. Thoughts and ideas from forest history experts from all over the Nordic region are collected here in the book's articles, and the intention is partly to bring the subject of forest history into the future and partly to strengthen and maintain the tradition of Nordic forest history cooperation.
