How does the country stand when we talk about the Forest in Denmark in relation to the past, present and future?
The ambition of the Green Tripartite is to create 250,000 hectares of new forest by 2045, which corresponds to an increase in the forest area of almost 40 % from approximately 16 % to approximately 22 % of Denmark's area. The lecture will highlight how the forests have developed with ups and downs in Denmark after the last ice age and in interaction with humans, and how they can be expected to develop in the future.
The lecture is held in collaboration with the Forest and Hunting History Society.
