Live Saturday, November 5th

Volunteer in BIG

One of the museum's volunteers talks about the machines and his long life as a forest worker.

There is plenty of opportunity to come and have a wonderful day at the Green Museum and meet some of our many volunteers on Saturday, November 5th, between 11 am and 3 pm, where they are ready to welcome our guests.

And if you haven't yet experienced our BIG exhibition after reopening, then Saturday is also the perfect day to visit the museum. Many of the activities on the day take place in our indoor 'forest'.

For example, there is the opportunity to take a tour of the exhibition for approximately 15 minutes, together with one of our skilled presenters at 11:30, 12:30 or 1:30 pm, with a meeting point in the museum shop.

In addition, you can meet Axel Jørgensen, who after 35 years in the forests of Fussingø Forest District is ready to talk about working in the forest and many of his exciting experiences and experiences after a long working life.

You can also get a taste of a historic onion soup inside the historic workshop, where our volunteers prepare a recipe from 1844, which is also made on the old wood-burning stove.

Finally, there are also a lot of fun and educational activities for young people inside STORT, where there is the opportunity to lift logs, draw or work and read with the 'Hunting Activities' booklet.
