When The Green Museum and Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum open on Saturday, February 7, it will be with a really good offer. Everyone who buys general admission in February will automatically receive an annual pass to both museums.

The two museums hope that the free annual passes will encourage locals to stop by in February and use the museums frequently year-round.

Two museums for the price of one museum

Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum and the Green Museum are located right next to each other on a large, scenic area, and the museums offer a number of permanent exhibitions about agriculture, forestry, hunting and food as well as unique historical interiors and gardens for both nobility and servants.

Gammel Estrup Denmark's Manor Museum has been renovating living rooms and halls at Gammel Estrup Manor for the past twenty years, and in the summer of 2026 the solid interiors will be supplemented with audio stories about the people who lived at the manor – from high to low and from cellar to attic. The museum also offers children's activities during all school holidays, lectures and concerts, as well as major events such as the 18th century festival, All Saints' Eve and Christmas for the nobility and servants.

At the Green Museum, guests can experience the exhibition Under the Sun, which tells the story of the Danes' pursuit of the good life over the past 80 years. Based on the museum's four subject areas – hunting, forestry, agriculture and food – the focus is on the choices that have shaped everyday life from the post-war period to the present day, and on how they have left their mark on nature and the landscape. The museum houses ten exhibitions and offers family and child-friendly activities throughout the year during all school holidays, as well as activities and events with the museum's volunteers and a Christmas market with more than 60 stalls with food, crafts and great deals.
