How does the country stand in relation to community and responsibility in Danish agriculture?
For more than 140 years, the cooperative movement has shaped Danish agriculture. Join us on a journey from the shipping of
the famous lur-marked butter in wooden crates from the Port of Esbjerg to the trial of the “climate pig”. The threads
is drawn all the way forward to today, where the large agricultural cooperatives are facing new, crucial
challenges in the climate and natural crises.
Esben Bøgh Sørensen is a museum curator at the Green Museum with responsibility for agricultural history. He
works with the historical development of agriculture and the communities and structures that have characterized Danish
food production for more than 150 years.
