Frequently asked questions
Can I bring animals at the museum?
Yes. You can bring your dog, as you enjoy the outside areas. But they aren’t allowed in any of the exhibits. Guide dogs are allowed.
Can I buy food or bring my own?
Of course you can. You can either bring your own food, or visit the restaurant ‘Den Gamle Stald’ (The Old Stable) which is located in one of the historical farm buildings. For information on opening hours, menus and prices, please visit
Where can I stay while visiting the museum?
If you wanna stay close by there are both hotels, B n’ B’s, and cottages. Or if you are up for it, you can set up camp at our shelters site, which is located between fields and forests – And it’s free!
