There are plenty of great experiences for children of all ages.<\/p><\/div>\n

When the Agricultural Fair opens on Friday, May 22, the Green Museum will once again be at the square at Gl. Estrup \u2013 and as always, the museum area will be filled with life, the scent of historical food experiences, old crafts and activities for the whole family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The museum's employees and many volunteers are on hand from 10 am to 4 pm and invite guests to get up close and personal with the crafts, communities and stories that are an important part of the Green Museum's living cultural history.<\/p>\n

Tastings, crafts and living stories<\/strong><\/p>\n

Around the museum grounds, guests can meet a wide range of the museum's guilds, who on both days will share knowledge, tastings and good cheer.<\/p>\n

The Brewers' Guild serves beer tastings, while the Food Guild offers historical recipes and stories about food history. At the beekeepers' you can experience the bees up close and taste honey, and the Butchers' Guild lights up the smokehouse and hands out tastings.<\/p>\n

The dairymen bring different cheeses for tasting, while the Bow Guild shows how wooden bows were made in the past. The blacksmiths work at the outdoor forge, where the iron is shaped while it is hot.<\/p>\n

Karle- og Pigelauget also brings old techniques and working methods to the fair. Here, guests can experience the threshing machine in action, make their own rope or make a mini straw bale. At the same time, the Tractor Workshop fills the area with old tractors and stories about agricultural machinery through the ages.<\/p>\n

All activities and tastings at the guilds are free.<\/p>\n

Activities with speed, laughter and challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n

The museum's staff is also ready with a number of activities for children, young people and adults, where learning and play go hand in hand.<\/p>\n

This year's big news is the rodeo bull, where guests can test their balance and see how long they can stay seated. As tradition dictates, there is also the opportunity to try your hand at a bow and arrow. Both activities cost 20 kroner.<\/p>\n

In addition, the whole family or group of friends can compete against each other in the \u201cFair Competition\u201d \u2013 a collection of fun and challenging activities inspired by the competitions and tests of strength at old fairs.<\/p>\n

Here you can try stilt walking, ball throwing, tug of war and balancing on a log. You can also test your strength in \u201cPull like a horse\u201d or build with large pieces of wood.<\/p>\n

Experiences for the whole family<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Green Museum area at the Agricultural Fair is created as a place where guests of all ages can experience history with their hands, taste the past and try their hand at old crafts and games.<\/p>\n
