Autumn holiday with an arrow in hand and historical target shooting at the Green Museum near Auning<\/strong><\/p>\n

An autumn holiday with both excitement and immersion is in the works when the Green Museum in Auning \u2013 halfway between Randers and Grenaa \u2013 invites the whole family to go hunting. Not for animals, but for good holiday memories, community and stories to take home.<\/p>\n

Autumn holiday offers at the museum<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Saturday, October 11th through Sunday, October 19th, children and adults can try their hand at one of the oldest forms of hunting: bow hunting. A new, indoor hunting tower has just been added, and from here you can take aim and try out what it feels like to shoot from a new angle from above, like a real bow hunter.<\/p>\n

The museum's activity package costs 30 DKK and consists of an arrow that you decorate with colors (cresting) yourself, and then try out on the shooting range \u2013 and of course you get to take the arrow home afterwards. In addition, you can get a little taste of game and explore a hunting activity booklet filled with small tasks in the spirit of hunting.<\/p>\n

As a special feature during the autumn holidays, you can also join a free tour of the museum's new exhibition. Under the Sun<\/em> \u2013 every day from 11:30 to 12:00. <\/u>Here, both children and adults get an introduction to the exhibition's stories, questions and moods, told by one of the museum's interpreters. The tour is included in the admission ticket and does not require registration.<\/p>\n

History, crafts and pleasant conversations<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Green Museum is known throughout Djursland for its lively approach to history. During the autumn holidays, some of the museum's volunteers are present every day and ensure that the crafts of the past come alive again. For example, you can meet blacksmiths, mechanics and beer brewers who demonstrate their crafts and are always happy to chat with curious children and adults.<\/p>\n

In addition to the volunteers, there is also plenty for guests to experience: the museum's kitchen garden looks beautiful in the autumn colors with plants worthy of conservation, and in the fields and in the stables you can meet old Danish animals worthy of conservation, which gives an extra dimension to the experience.<\/p>\n

Under the Sun \u2013 the pursuit of the good life<\/strong><\/p>\n

The autumn holidays are also an ideal opportunity to experience Under the Sun<\/em> \u2013 the museum's new signature exhibition, which tells the story of the Danes' pursuit of the good life over the past 80 years. How have we lived, eaten, worked and thought \u2013 and how has our relationship with nature and community changed?<\/p>\n

The exhibition combines sensory communication with great stories from real life and is a powerful experience for both families and adult visitors. There is nostalgia, new knowledge and food for thought.<\/p>\n

Practical information<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fall holiday activities will take place from Saturday, October 11, through Sunday, October 19. The museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

All activities are included in the entrance ticket, except for the activity package, which costs 30 DKK. Admission is free for children and young people under the age of 18.
