Experience Living Saturday in the spirit of the Badehotellet<\/h3>\n
\"The

There are plenty of volunteers for Living Saturday, where ten of the museum's guilds show up and show off their skills.<\/p><\/div>\n

On Saturday, November 2, the Green Museum will host the last Living Saturday of the year, and this time we will travel back to the 1920s and 1930s, a time characterized by elegance and culinary pleasures, as seen in the TV2 series 'Badehotellet'. <\/strong><\/p>\n

But the Badehotellet era in the TV series also extends through World War II and the post-war period, a period that you can also experience at the museum. From 11:00 to 15:00 you can experience a day filled with traditional tastings, crafts and stories that bring the Denmark of the past to life.<\/p>\n

The Taste of the Bath Hotel<\/strong>
\nBettina Buhl, our museum curator, will give an exciting presentation three times during the day about the food that was served at the fictional seaside hotel. Here you can gain insight into historical recipes and food culture from the time. The museum staff will present freshly baked bread in the Historical Workshop, complemented by various tastings such as apple pork in Madens Hus and various cheeses, including the traditional knappost and our dairy guild's Havarti, known for its creamy texture and mild taste.<\/p>\n

Interactive crafts and volunteer storytelling<\/strong>
\nIn addition to the culinary experiences, you can meet the volunteers in the blacksmith shop, at the tractor workshop, and many other places. The beekeepers' guild, the butchers' guild, and the dairymen's guild all generously share their knowledge and let guests try their hand at everything from rope-laying with the Karle- og Pigelauget to tasting buttermilk and freshly churned butter.<\/p>\n

Start of Christmas Brew
\n<\/strong>Appropriate for the season, the Brewers' Guild is also starting up the Christmas brew and offering tastings of their autumn brew, perfect for warming up on a chilly November day.<\/p>\n

This Living Saturday is a unique chance to step into a world of historical richness and cultural treasures. Come and participate in a day where history is not just told \u2013 it is tasted, felt and experienced!<\/p>\n
