Living Saturday: An experience of the past<\/h3>\n

Museum visitors enjoy tastings from the Dairymen's Guild.<\/p><\/div>\n

Almost every first Saturday of the month, The Green Museum is filled with life, laughter and learning, all thanks to \u2018Living Saturday.\u2019 This monthly event is a celebration of the past, where the museum\u2019s dedicated communicators and volunteers draw visitors into a world of stories, old crafts and tastings. <\/strong><\/p>\n

On 'Living Saturday', visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the museum's exhibitions and experience a wealth of activities that provide an authentic insight into the past. This year's last 'Living Saturday' takes place on Saturday, November 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

A new way into the exhibitions<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you participate in 'Living Saturday' at the Green Museum, you will have a unique opportunity to explore the museum's exhibitions in a different way. Facilitators are ready to welcome you and give you an introduction to the exciting exhibitions. For example, on this 'Living Saturday' you can be invited to a special introduction to the exhibition \u201cBIG \u2013 people and the forest.\u201d Here you can learn about the cubic meter block and delve into the history behind the forest and its significance for people through time together with the museum's curator responsible for the cultural history of the forest, Helle Serup, when she walks the museum's guests around the exhibition three times during the day.<\/p>\n

In the exhibitions you also have the chance to meet different guilds who share their experiences and stories about old crafts. On the last 'Living Saturday' of the year, you can, for example, experience the butchers' guild and the dairymen's guild in 'Madens Hus', where both guilds offer delicious tastings within their respective fields.<\/p>\n

Life in the Workshops<\/strong><\/p>\n

Living Saturday is not just limited to the exhibitions. The museum's workshops are also pulsating with life and activity. Listen for the sounds of mechanical work from the Tractor Workshop, where skilled mechanics bring old tractors to life, while sharing their knowledge and stories about these machines.<\/p>\n

There is also the opportunity to participate in practical activities. For example, you can learn the art of rope making with the Karle- og Pigelauget or brew Christmas beer with the Bryggerlauget.<\/p>\n

Mark Your Calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n

The next 'Living Saturday' will take place on November 4th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the past, learn from dedicated artisans and experience a real taste of history.<\/p>\n
