Significant upgrade of 'Living Saturday'<\/h3>\n

The Butchers' Guild's delicious Medister sausage is tasted.<\/p><\/div>\n

The 'Living Saturday' offering, which the museum holds on the first Saturday in selected months, will be greatly upgraded in 2023 in terms of the amount of offerings and thus also much more vibrant for visitors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As early as March 4th, you can experience a real flurry of exciting 'Living Saturday'<\/a> offers, with lots of activities, such as tastings, 'try it yourself' and guided tours.<\/p>\n

To name just a few of the many things that 'Living Saturday' offers, one of the museum's presenters will offer a free introduction to the exhibition three times during the day. BIG \u2013 Man and the Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In STORT you can also sit down and carve at a carving bench and have a nice chat with the bow builders while they sit and work on their bows.<\/p>\n

In addition, there is also a lot going on in the historic workshop, where the museum's dairymen churn butter, something you can also try yourself, but you can also taste the freshly ground butter when we serve samples of the freshly baked Emmerbr\u00f8d (made from the historic emmer flour), along with the butter that is churned during the day.<\/p>\n

It is also in the Historical Workshop that you can try your skills as a rope maker when the museum's Men's and Women's Guild sits and makes ropes - and yes, you can of course take your own rope home.<\/p>\n

Madens Hus is also involved in 'Levende L\u00f8rdag', because here both the brewers' guild is busy brewing the first beer of the year; while the butchers' guild is producing their famous and extremely delicious spiced meats. Finally, it is also here that you can greet the food guild while they cook Carnival buns<\/a> with, among other things, cardamom, raisins and sugar according to a recipe from 1972.<\/p>\n

Outside, both the Smithy and the tractor workshop are open, and our animals are of course also both awake and ready for a cozy visit, regardless of whether they are in the barn or outdoors. Finally, the visitor magazine is also staffed, so it is possible to hear more about the exciting objects that are there.<\/p>\n

So come and visit us at our 'Living Saturday' events, and preferably on the first of March 4, where the activities start at 11 am and continue until 3 pm. It's all free, once you've paid for your entrance to the museum.<\/p>\n

And remember, it is still possible to visit us during the rest of February and get a free upgrade from your day ticket to an annual pass; so you can visit us for free for the rest of the year.<\/a><\/p>\n
