A course on natural vision<\/h3>\n

For almost 10,000 years, what is now Denmark was populated by hunters and gatherers who lived off what nature had to offer. About 6,000 years ago we began to cultivate the land, but we continued to hunt, and until about 70 years ago, the meat from hunting remained an important supplement to the household.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the number of hunters has increased. Both among men and women, interest in hunting is increasing and the number of hunters who lose their hunting license is increasing steadily, but where hunting was previously an important part of survival, hunting today is more recreational. But hunting is versatile, it is about nature experiences, trophies, mental health, camaraderie, climate and good raw materials. But not everyone thinks hunting is a good idea. Disagreements about how we should use nature are based, among other things, on the fact that we have different views of nature.<\/p>\n

In a PLETSKUD course at the Green Museum, we will delve deeper into the \u201dBattle for the Area\u201d and examine what nature views are. The day starts with a joint introduction to the day\u2019s program by one of the museum\u2019s facilitators, followed by a tour of the museum\u2019s exhibitions. UNDER<\/strong> THE SUN<\/strong><\/a> and BIG<\/strong><\/a>. The tour focuses particularly on the past 80 years of use of nature, in pursuit of "the good life", and with a special focus on developments in hunting.<\/p>\n

After a short break, the students will work with different views of nature, and delve deeper into their own view of nature. The students will learn how different ways of looking at nature can create debate and turn into major political discussions. Finally, the students will try the oldest form of hunting, namely bow hunting. All the students will make their own finger tabs, which will then be tested when the students will test their own skills as archers on the museum's interactive indoor archery range.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
