A course on natural vision<\/h3>\n

6000 years ago, 98 % of Denmark's land was covered by forest. Then our ancestors discovered that if we grew grain, we could ensure a more stable food source and the Danes became farmers. We burned the trees and practiced slash-and-burn agriculture. The trees were also used to build houses and boats and the forests became smaller and smaller.<\/p>\n

In recent years there has been a lot of talk about reforestation. About being \u201dwild on purpose\u201d and creating National Nature Parks, where nature should be allowed to be nature on its own terms. But how we use our land is also an area of much discussion and it is difficult to agree. This is because different people have different views of nature.<\/p>\n

In a OVERVIEW course at the Green Museum, we will delve deeper into the \u201dBattle for the Area\u201d and examine what nature views are. The day starts with a joint introduction to the day\u2019s program by one of the museum\u2019s communicators, followed by a tour of the museum\u2019s exhibitions. UNDER<\/strong> THE SUN<\/strong><\/a> and BIG<\/strong><\/a>. The tour focuses particularly on the past 80 years of use of nature, in pursuit of the good life, and with a special focus on developments in the forest.<\/p>\n

After a short break, students will work with different views of nature, and delve deeper into their own views of nature. Students will learn how different ways of looking at nature can create debate and turn into major political discussions.<\/p>\n

As a special treat, students will have the opportunity to gain insight into the work of the aborist and get a good OVERVIEW from the museum's 9-meter-high, indoor climbing column. One of the museum's safety-trained facilitators is ready to help students challenge themselves when they try their hand at the climbing column.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
