How did we get here \u2013 and what does it take to move forward?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Under the Sun<\/em> is the Green Museum's new, large signature exhibition. A sensuous, artistic and thought-provoking exhibition where we invite you on a journey through the last eight decades of Danish history \u2013 told with a focus on our four core areas: hunting, forestry, agriculture and food.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this period, the world's population has tripled, and we now face major challenges, including climate and biodiversity. How did we get here \u2013 and what is needed to move forward?<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

An exhibition in the light of the sun<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\t

In the middle of the exhibition, a large, luminous sun \u2013 five meters in diameter \u2013 floats. It symbolizes both the center of life and the exhibition, and acts as a visual and sensory landmark for the entire museum. From this sun, eight \u201csunbeams\u201d radiate out \u2013 one for each decade from 1950 to the present.<\/p>\n

In the eight episodes, you are taken back in time and encounter the decade as it was experienced by those who lived in it. The presentation takes place in the present and on contemporary terms \u2013 not with hindsight or raised fingers, but with the desire to understand choices, values and realities as they were then.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Under the Sun<\/em> is not just an exhibition you see \u2013 it is an exhibition you feel. Through films, audio stories, iconic objects and interactive stations you can sense, experience and immerse yourself in themes such as food, the environment, consumption, technology and humanity's relationship with nature.<\/p>\n

In every corner of the exhibition you will find a sensory immersion table. Here you can get up close to individual topics or decades and gain new perspectives \u2013 regardless of whether you are a curious first-time visitor or have a special professional interest.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The exhibition is designed with the intention that everyone should be able to take something away from it \u2013 regardless of age, background or qualifications. You can choose to experience the entire exhibition in half an hour or spend several hours going in depth. And regardless of the pace, both children and adults can learn something along the way.<\/p>\n
